Hello

Welcome to the website of singer-songwriter Nathan Ball

Nathan’s music has taken on a number of different forms over the years… initially performing as a solo artist, before moving on to form the 4-piece band Nayfumble, and later - a duo,  The Ballinsky Project, with cellist Adrianne Wininsky. He is now focusing again on his work as a solo artist, whilst also inviting a variety of talented friends and musicians to join him along the way. Nathan is touring  the UK towards the end of 2009 and will complete his debut album in early 2010.

Frequently compared to folk legends such as Nick Drake, John Martyn and Cat Stevens, Nathan still manages to create his own unique sound – a blend of poetic lyrics matched with a powerful and distinctive voice. A self-professed ‘bare-footer’, Nathan’s ‘bare feet and bared soul’ have become a trademark on the underground festival circuit.

Please feel free to browse, listen to music, look  through the gallery, and maybe even join the mailing list…

Hope enjoy your visit, and if you do, please tell a friend!

Summer festie gigs

Dear friends,

Well it’s been an interesting journey since the last update… The operation on Nathan’s collarbone eventually took place on Sat 22nd May and since then he’s been holed up in Ireland resting, recuperating… and custom-making guitars… (Respond to this email if you’re interested in this little sideline!)

And here’s a pic of Nathan’s first ‘gig’ since his op:

Now though, with almost full movement back in his shoulder, he’s ready for another summer full of festivals ☺ Here are some of the ones Nathan & the band will be at over the next couple of months, and there will no doubt be more to fill in the gaps as time goes on…

Fri pm: 5:30pm - Lizard Lounge
Sat om: 3pm - Mandala Stage
Sun 12 midday - Small World Solar Stage
He’ll be playing with his favourite festival buddy Joe Hymas (on mandolin) and old friend Charlie Luffram (on keys) so it should be different but interesting…
